The Essee

Tomorrow’s sharing day letter is S and I asked Mallory what she wanted to bring for her sharing item.

She said she wanted to bring an Essee (sp?) – because when she says it, it sounds like it starts with an S (I’m guessing at how this would be spelled if it was a real word). I was trying to figure out if that is some animal from her new obsession, Madagascar, so I asked a few questions.

This is a summary of her rambling.

Essee. I want to bring an Essee. Well, they aren’t real but they live in the smooky* forest of what we drive by every day (the northwest corner of Zeeb & Dexter-Ann Arbor Road has dense woods that she calls the smooky forest). And then when its dark and it thunders, they come out and ROAR.

*The “smooky forest” thing started back around Halloween – she says “smooky” instead of “spooky” and it is honestly one of the cuter things she says wrong. I feel it’s right along with “snunk” for skunk, and “plum trees” for palm trees.
