Carson

The explosion is starting

Remember that word explosion that the pediatrician told us to expect with Carson’s speech? It’s starting.

I don’t know if there is enough oxygen in my house to support two kids talking as much as Mallory does. We’ll have to see what happens.

Last week Carson started saying “OTT” and holding his hand up for “HOT”. He also has something that sounds like “Mal” for his lovely sister, which cracks me up if that’s what he’s going to call her. I don’t know why it cracks me up, but it does.

Late last week he started doing “ooh ooh ah ah” complete with scratching under his arms for “what does a monkey say?”.

And just Tuesday night, while out to dinner (with the big screen tvs tuned to ESPN), he said “AH-ALL” when basketball highlights were on, and “OO-ALL” when they were showing highlights from the Super Bowl. This morning when I dropped him off at school – he was running around with a ball and came over and proudly said “ALL!”.

His “NO” is getting more defined, and is still cute when he says it through a smile and a giggle. It’s not cute when it’s said through tears.

  1. You are in trouble now, once they start you won’t be able to stop him… As you well know with Miss Mal but I was just wondering where they get it from?
