Today was a day that I was going to get Mallory off the bus, run a ton of errands with just one kid, and then pick Carson up at 5:55p. But instead, I got a call from daycare at 3.32p that Carson fell on the playground and “split his eyelid open”. I said I’d be right there (without asking any questions).

Busy
So, we’ve been busy. Thus the lack of real posts lately.
Here’s a summary of what’s been going on.
Mallory had a ruptured eardrum and RAGING ear infection a few weeks ago. (I’ll probably blog about this some day because it wasn’t one of my favorite parenting moments).
We went to the football game at MSU and we lost. (I probably won’t blog about that).
Mallory’s two bottom teeth continue to get wigglier and wigglier. She still believes that she isn’t allowed to lose these until 1st grade. (The pediatrician even noticed that Mallory had loose teeth because they are getting …
Birthday Girl – 2011
Mallory on her 5th birthday. And then Carson had to invade.

Michigan is at Iowa this weekend. The game starts in 25 minutes.
Mallory just asked if the game started yet…I told her no.
She said “Oh. So everyone is still tailgating?”

Thursdays of away game weeks aren’t my favorite nights. I’m tired, the kids are tired, and Mallory has rock climbing until 7p on Thursdays (and the kids are usually close to getting in their pajamas around 7p, so to not even be home at 7p is already a strike against us).
Then add in getting home, getting diapers changed, getting in pajamas, getting teeth brushed, getting kids to take their various asthma and coughing medicines, plus getting kids in bed and to sleep as quickly as possible because with Rick gone, I have to get kids to their various destinations early …
