New Years Day found us at the Aquarium and Insectarium. Mallory only liked the sharks and the pizza at lunch. She still had a really wiggly tooth.

My goofball being a goofball.
Mallory & Riley, with Mallory’s bratty younger brother who wanted to be in the picture.
The two Denards. The funny thing about this picture is that when Carson first got up there, he had his arms wrapped around Mikey’s neck, and Mikey wasn’t a big fan of that.

There was a hurricane simulator thing. Carson looks happy here, but about 3 seconds later another mom pulled him out because he was crying.
Another gross/cool thing at the Aquarium – you could buy these little sticks with peanut butter caked with bird seed to feed the birds. What was sort of irritating is that my kids were nicely standing there waiting for a bird to come nibble on the stick, and as soon as a bird or two got close, some of older kids would come over and try to “steal” her bird (they were trying to get the birds to climb on their arms…).
After the aquarium, there was a big pep rally across the street from our hotel. See Big Mallory on the balcony (far left against the building)?
After the aquarium and after the pep rally, we went to dinner with Rick’s boyfriend again. Aren’t they cute?
Mallory eating Gator Bites!
After dinner I went out with Cheryl & Sam who sit next to us at the home games. We went to House of Blues for a drink, and Colleen (Catherine & Becca’s mom, who was also in town for the game [after winning the trip for free on annarbor.com!]) joined us. NO KIDS FOR AN HOUR = HEAVEN!!!
The next morning I finally did my walk of the French Quarter to try to get some good pictures of the kids.
We met up with Cheryl again at the end of our walk, and I finally got the kids a horse & carriage ride. Except they aren’t horses, they are mules. They don’t use horses because it gets too hot in the summer.
So. That takes us to the day of the game, but it will have to wait for another day.
