Carson, Mallory

My Sweethearts

I think I haven’t taken any pictures in February.

Well, except for on my phone and those don’t count, really.

But here are some pictures from January – I took these for the kids Valentines cards for school.

I got out Carson’s pink & white striped oxford and he said “THAT’S A GIRL SHIRT!” and I told him that handsome boys could wear pink too so he decided he could wear it. But he made it clear that only girls and handsome boys could wear pink shirts.

We had a great week here – the kids weren’t sick, and I’m getting more familiar with my job – both great things.

Mallory is starting to learn the dances for her June recital. She is going to be doing both a tap and a ballet number in this year’s recital.

Carson has wrapped up his soccer “pwactice” (parent-tot soccer class). I don’t think we are going to sign him up again until the fall because with it almost being spring (hopefully??) – he & Rick can get out and play outside.

The kids are still doing weekly swim lessons; Mallory has been working on her crawl stroke. Well, mostly working on her breathing during the crawl stroke. Carson cries before swim class every week that he doesn’t want to go in the water, but as soon as class starts, he’s the happiest kid ever. Last weekend we went swimming with Emily & her kids and Shane had Carson going underwater to see him – it was CRAZY! We need to get him some goggles :-)

Rock climbing just started up again this week – Mallory and Alli love it, and Carson can’t wait until he can start climbing too. A few weeks ago, he was able to participate in Mallory’s class, and now every week he says “IT ITH MY WOCK CWIMBING CWASS TOOOO!” (It is my rock climbing class, too!). But he has to be three before he can take a class all by himself – so maybe next fall.

We went to the Michigan hockey game Friday night – it was SOOO FUN watching Rick watch the kids cheer and sing. We hadn’t been to a Michigan hockey game since before Carson was born, and unfortunately this was the last weekend of regular season home games – hopefully it will work out that they play at Yost for some playoff games and we can try to go again.

OK, Rick is making me work on our taxes so I better go help him. Something better get fixed quick in Turbo Tax because right now it is basically telling us “hell no you aren’t getting a MacBook this year…”
