The kids got into softball again this year; we didn’t make it to a lot of games this year (between the kids activities and tornado recovery, our spring was uber-hectic) but we got to catch a few games in person, and a lot of games on TV.
Chiddy was a favorite again this year, and Mallory’s other favorites were Haylie (the pitcher) and Bree (#5 – Mallory picked her because she was 5 years old this past spring).
At the end of the season, I took the kids up to see Rick while he collected all of the equipment and stuff back from the players. Carson had his glove and spent 15 minutes playing baseball with Chiddy and some other players in the hallway (it was funny listening to him to tell Chiddy to hold the bat at the end and not in the middle [she was choking up because they were in a narrow hallway]).
Then Mallory wanted her picture taken with Haylie. Haylie has super long straight brown hair, just like what Mallory dreams about having.
And then there was C.
Mallory with #5 Bree. Mallory is in trouble next year because there isn’t a #6 on the team.
Then the kids wanted to run the bases a few times. There weren’t any bases out, though, so they ran the yellow post thingies. I love the last picture of Mallory crossing home plate in a dress and flip-flops.
