OK, I am literally going to write a post to [try to] catch up on the last 3 months. Three months of football season + three months of a bajillion photo shoots = three months of craziness.
Here we go:
We spent lots of summer time at the pool – it helped that it was hotter than hades this summer and that we were able to join Georgetown Country Club this summer.
Carson learned how to swim:
and go off the diving board (he would do this for as long as someone would catch him) – and it’s fun to go back and watch Mallory when she first went off the diving board
And the Olympics inspired Mallory to give synchrozied swimming a try:
And now…some pictures:
It’s always fun to get a surprise pool day with dad!
Carson and one of his many girlfriends…
Mallory & Laci…a week before 1st grade started!! The girls didn’t end up in the same class this year but they still remain good friends.
At Mallory’s 1st grade open house. She found out where her seat was and who all was in her class and that she was going to be sharing a locker with a Spartan!
Just some proof that my son loves his Tigers. This is his 4-month old nasty ball cap that he wore every day. He is three years old. I didn’t think 3 yr olds were supposed to sweat that much? #isthatnormal
We did try washing it (hence the ball-cap form thing under the cap), but it still looks gross. Guess he’ll get another new one on his next birthday. And perhaps I need to wash it sooner than 4 months in.
The last Friday of summer found us at the pool and I was lamenting that I didn’t make the trip to Texas for Michigan’s game against Alabama. But I found happiness in my cooler and hung out at the pool. It was another crazy hot weekend – a fun way to end summer.
Just a goofy picture of Cameron. He is too much.
The kids tried hard to stay awake for the whole Michigan-Alabama game, but they didn’t make it. I didn’t realize until I looked at this picture later that I probably should have washed their faces before putting them to bed. Oops.
The morning after the Alabama game, we went on our first and only boat trip of the summer with my parents. We went up the chain of lakes and had lunch at Zukey. It seems weird to think we used to do that almost every weekend we could when we lived on the lake!
And that is the end of summer. Stay tuned! I think I still owe you the rest of our Ironman trip, and Mallory’s school supply shopping, and September, October and most of November.
