After having no snow days in kindergarten, Mallory has had four snow days in first grade. I’ve heard my teacher friends talk about how to encourage a snow day with some bedtime rituals, so I laughed when Mallory got off the bus today and told me what she wanted to do before bed.
Here is the video of her telling me what she learned about how to get a snow day:
And she was beside herself at bedtime, running around the house, getting a white crayon and a spoon and yelling at Rick & me so that we could simultaneously flush three ice cubes down three toilets at once.
She even got a spoon for under Carson’s pillow…and encouraged Carson to wear his pajamas backwards. But Carson’s school never closes so he’ll be salty in the morning when he finds out he still has to go to school even if Mallory has a day off. Oops.
