Last Friday we said goodbye to our extended family that we’ve been part of since the spring of 2007…daycare.
It’s been 7+ years straight that we’ve been pulling into that parking lot on the way to and/or from work every.single.day. The women who worked there loved on both of our kids every day and we love them for it.
I wasn’t as sad at his graduation as I thought I’d be, and I’m not sure why. But I will miss those ladies tremendously. Both kids made some pretty fantastic friends in their time at the Creek too. And I made some good friends since my kids have good taste in friends. :-)
Following are a bajillion pictures of graduation and the end of year party from that night. Captions are interspersed. Carson has been all gym shorts all the time since the weather got nice; I had to beg/order him to wear real shorts for graduation.
Carson walking I mean running out for graduation.
Carson with two of his Stony Creek girlfriends – Becca & Zoe
Carson was so excited to graduate!
Ms W with her congratulatory speech. She cried.
Checking out Zoe’s certificate.
FINALLY it was the C-Dog’s turn.
This is what the kids got for an end of year gift. I am CRACKING UP that Carson didn’t pick anything sports-related. We had a conversation a few days ago about how he wants to be a bird so he can fly wherever he wants and I told him maybe he could fly airplanes. I guess that stuck.
Miss Joy, Carson’s pre-kindergarten teacher this past year.
Oh boy – check out these boys. WAY TOO CUTE. Carson & his best friend Ben.
Carson & his buddy Takoda. Takoda is moving to Texas this summer though. He would play football for days with Carson on the playground.
I have a crush on this little blonde kid.
Miss Jody – she was Carson’s teacher in the 3-yr old preschool class.
Miss Carol. Oh how we love Miss Carol. Carol is the early morning girl at the Creek and she took care of both kids in the infant room.
Miss Eddie – she was the head teacher in the toddler classroom.
Mrs Paula. She loved my kids like they were her own. She loved their love of Michigan sports and we will miss her terribly. However, Carson has informed me that we will still go to Aubrees with Mrs Paula.
Mrs Mary – she took care of both kids downstairs too. She was the teacher who’s lap Mallory & Allison would race to get to when she said she’d read them a book…so Mallory & Allison would take off in a race-crawl across the room.
Miss Hawa floated between the infant room and the toddler classroom.
Miss Ali was one of Carson’s teacher’s in the toddler classroom.
