Keeping with the “this is our life” theme of pictures, I figured I’d show you what Carson has going on in my living room/computer room/playroom/dog cage room.
He’s got a baseball tournament going on with his baseball guys. He has three teams – Blue, Orange and “Gloe” (glow in the dark) and he made a bracket for it. You can see that there will be a “champean” at the end.
I made the mistake of asking him if he wanted me to print him out a real bracket for his tournament so now he doesn’t use his handdrawn one, unfortunately.
Anyway, the field has been set up for weeks and right now it’s the first loser’s bracket game – Orange v Glow. I’m guessing his bratty sister corrected his spelling before he got to the first loser’s bracket game because he has it spelled Glow instead of Gloe.
The Alabama football players on the first base line? Apparently those are the coaches for the orange team. The glow team has the same football players as coaches. Carson says they all know each other but they aren’t friends. He’s got his Auburn football players out to coach the blue team for the next game.
He is trying to figure out how to have something show what base the runners are on like when you watch it on TV. I think he has to talk to grandpa for that.
He has ten sets of “guys” – two Michigan football, one OSU, one Tennessee, one Auburn (those all have fields), then just Alabama players so they can’t ever have home games. Then two sets of hockey guys with rink, one set of baseball guys with field and one set of basketball guys with a court. Those and the backyard baseball field are the only things he plays. I’m not joking. It makes gift giving a little frustrating because you don’t want to keep giving him the same stuff.
