Carson woke up at 3am last night, crying for me. I waited it out a bit, thinking/hoping he’d go back to sleep but he didn’t. So I got out of bed to calm him down and finally figured out he was telling me that he was wet. His diaper is dry almost every morning, but on the days he is wet, it’s REALLY wet and his pajamas end up soaked.
I started undoing his pajamas, thinking I’d just remove one of his diapers (he is double diapered at night due to the fact that when he pees, he peeeeeees, but …

Win #9
(I’m writing this post over a month late but again posting in the right spot. Oh well.)
The Nebraska Cornhuskers came to the Big House for the first time in November.
We beat them.
Go BLUE.
Carson got impatient and took off ahead of us for the gates.
What? I have to wait for you?
Love my Michigan girl.
Oh hey. What’s up?
What? TWO good pictures of Malsy & me??
Nice photobomb, Grandpa. And, Grandpa – since you’re going to ask me what “photobomb” means – click here: photobomb
Little Michigan Riding Hood got silly near the end of the game.
Line ‘em up.
So I’ve written about how Carson likes to line up his football guys and it’s hysterical. Here are some not very good pictures (see how the green is different in each picture [not to mention the dog hair on the football field]? I couldn’t show these to a client…) plus some video of Carson lining up his guys.
Please forgive the messy house. I had it semi-organized today and then we spent a whole day at home watching football. I can’t control them.
Football Observations from a 2-yr old
Carson: “CHESSS BUPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!” (chest bump).
Carson’s Car Accident
Today was a day that I was going to get Mallory off the bus, run a ton of errands with just one kid, and then pick Carson up at 5:55p. But instead, I got a call from daycare at 3.32p that Carson fell on the playground and “split his eyelid open”. I said I’d be right there (without asking any questions).
Then I called my sister (who was shopping with NO KIDS) and asked what I should do.
Emily the clinician fired back: “Is it cut all the way through? Tell them to keep pressure on it.”
Sam the panicked mom responded: “I …
Busy
So, we’ve been busy. Thus the lack of real posts lately.
Here’s a summary of what’s been going on.
Mallory had a ruptured eardrum and RAGING ear infection a few weeks ago. (I’ll probably blog about this some day because it wasn’t one of my favorite parenting moments).
We went to the football game at MSU and we lost. (I probably won’t blog about that).
Mallory’s two bottom teeth continue to get wigglier and wigglier. She still believes that she isn’t allowed to lose these until 1st grade. (The pediatrician even noticed that Mallory had loose teeth because they are getting …
Birthday Girl – 2011
Mallory on her 5th birthday. And then Carson had to invade.
The stars are aligned…
Thursdays of away game weeks aren’t my favorite nights. I’m tired, the kids are tired, and Mallory has rock climbing until 7p on Thursdays (and the kids are usually close to getting in their pajamas around 7p, so to not even be home at 7p is already a strike against us).
Then add in getting home, getting diapers changed, getting in pajamas, getting teeth brushed, getting kids to take their various asthma and coughing medicines, plus getting kids in bed and to sleep as quickly as possible because with Rick gone, I have to get kids to their various destinations early …
Halloween 2011
When we started talking about Halloween this year, I wasn’t sure what Mallory would say she would want to be. I thought it would be some sort of princess/fairy hybrid thing.
So color me tickled when she said she wanted to wear Bryce’s old Michigan football uniform for Halloween this year. There was still lots of time for her to change her mind so color me even more tickled when she consistently and unwaveringly told us and everyone that she still wanted to be a Michigan football player for Halloween.
I really got excited when I found out Mallory got to wear …
