Carson rolled over on Sunday. Twice. From his tummy to his back. And then he did it once again on Monday.
He’s holding his head fairly well too and using his arms to push up on us when we are trying to burp him.
He isn’t even six weeks old. We are in big fat trouble. This kid is freakishly strong.

Carson’s one scheduled activity
He likes to sleep in in the morning. Where Mallory takes after me with liking to get up and get the day going, Carson is happy to snooze until 8a or so. He takes after his dad, except Rick would like to sleep until 10a or 11a every day if I let him.
Carson – one whole month
Sweet Baby Carson is already a month old. I wonder how long I’ll start his update posts with “I can’t believe he’s (so big) already!”?
The big news of this week is that poor Carson got circumcised on Friday. My sister sees many circumcision revisions at work so she got me set up with her fave urologist to do Carson’s circ. Rick came with us but didn’t come back into the room. I was in the room but couldn’t watch most of it. Funniest Kid Ever
Mallory.

While she can make me want to run screaming to the loony bin sometimes (or at least to the grocery store at 8p last night just to get some peace from two crying kids…don’t worry, Rick was home), other times she can be unbelievably hysterical.

Size 1
This just popped in my head and I need to record it for Carson’s baby book :-)
The bassinet thingy in the hospital room was stocked with diapers and wipes and little side snap shirts and the nose sucker thingy and some other stuff. The default diaper size they stock are Newborn size, which goes up to 10lbs.
After Carson was born, the nurse had to go track down a package of size 1 diapers for Tank. She said she just grabbed the whole package because there were only three packages of size 1 diapers on the whole maternity floor.

Mommy’s Helper
Mallory gave Carson a bottle this morning (Carson & Rick slept in and I had just pumped when they woke up…). Mals thought she was a pretty cool big sister feeding her little brother!
Carson at 3 weeks
Three weeks already? Only three weeks of maternity leave left? Oh man.
Here is the Carson update:
He was 11lbs and 22.5” inches long on Tuesday (2w5d old).
He is staying awake for longer stretches of time. I don’t think this is a great thing just yet.
We have yet to find a gadget that he likes – he isn’t a big fan of the swing or the bouncy seat and seems to only like to fall asleep while being held. So I have to hold him until he falls asleep and then try to transfer him to his bassinet.

Argh – I am so bummed that I haven’t had time to post lately because I’m sure I’m missing out on recording some funny moments. But here are some I do remember:

Carson’s new boat coat
We were in need of a new boat coat for baby Carson. We had Mallory’s old one but (a) it is pink; and (b) it seemed too big for Mallory at 7mos so we thought it for sure would be too big for Carson at 3 weeks.
So I checked out the marina near our house and picked up a cool new life jacket.
I sent this picture to my dad and my mom and Rick.
My dad wrote back that the caption for this picture should be “Are you $hitting me?”
