Mallory got this hangman set from my dad for her birthday because she was constantly setting up hangman games.
Carson has watched Mallory play for the past month-ish and has learned the routine.
He & I woke up early one morning last weekend and he grabbed the hangman board and challenged me to a game.

Catching up ~ August 2012
OK, I am literally going to write a post to [try to] catch up on the last 3 months. Three months of football season + three months of a bajillion photo shoots = three months of craziness.
Here we go:
We spent lots of summer time at the pool – it helped that it was hotter than hades this summer and that we were able to join Georgetown Country Club this summer.
Carson learned how to swim:
and go off the diving board (he would do this for as long as someone would catch him) – and it’s fun to go back and watch …
If Rick blogged here
If Rick blogged here, he might tell you this story (sent to me in an email):
Carson said Cwaig Woh was playing on his field. I asked him what number and he said 88. See there is an 8 and an 8.

In the back & moon
The kids say so many funny things but one of my favorite things is how Carson has modified “I love you to the moon and back” to “I WUV YOU IN DA BACK AND MOON!”. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Anytime I tell him “I love you the most” he tells me he loves me in the back and moon. Last night he added “and in the top and the bottom and on the sides of the moon”.
And then he also added his arms to show me how much that was.
SO STINKING CUTE.
I promise I'll …
Haircuts with the Big Boys
I love taking Carson to get his haircut. His hair is still pretty fine and thin and I would still love to see if it would have curls but I can’t let it get that long because it gets fuzzy as it grows out.
So back to haircuts.
I’ve started taking him to the barber downtown Ann Arbor. I don’t let Rick take him when Rick gets his hair cut, because Rick goes to Fantastic Sam’s and Great Clips.
The barber has a fridge in the corner that has beer in it and it’s my goal in life to be …
I’m gonna miss this.
I am already sad about the day they won't want to sleep in our bed.
I love their sleeping-ness all snuggled in our bed.
Mallory sweating all over my pillow and Carson in his unders (because he shed his pajamas once he got under the covers).

2012-13 School Pictures
Here are my sweet kids’ 2012-13 school pictures! It is really nice to know that they will smile on demand for other people’s cameras…
Mallory is in 1st grade (!!!) and Carson is in preschool.
Whose Birthday?
Carson just came over and asked if it was Mallory’s birthday yet. (no, not yet).
Is it grandma’s birthday? (no, not til April).
Is it MY birthday? (nope).
Is it your birthday? (nope).
Is is daddy’s birthday? (nope, we are all in April except Mallory)
Then why do you have that candle?
(I have a smelly candle burning in the kitchen to try to mask the power of garlic from the tailgate food I started prepping last night. I love the conversations that seem so random but make perfect sense in a 3 yr old’s head!)
You got this!!
I enjoy baseball season (reminds me of my grandpa listening to the Tigers on his little radio) but nothing is better than hearing Carson yell “come on Miguel (or Prince or whoever is up to bat) – you got this!” at the tv.
Kicking off the 2012 season
My kids couldn’t stand it that it was finally time for a home football game again. When Mallory woke up yesterday morning, I asked her if she was ready to watch the football game on TV and she yelled “NO! IT IS A HOME GAME!!!”
I was pretty proud of myself – I had my stuff all ready the night before so for the most part I just had to grab it and go in the morning. We were out the door by 9.50a, and after a stop to pick up my folks and the chicken and Miss Header, we got …
