Cooper and his impeccable timing decided to start limping yesterday so I called the vet to try to get him an appointment for today and they were totally booked. But they said I could drop him off with them for the day and they’d get to him when they could. Not really ideal seeing as how he’s already so anxious about the bags being packed by the door and the baby stuff that is invading but we didn’t have a choice. I was afraid that we wouldn’t get it taken care of and then he’d end …

Got this email this morning from our dogsitter. Bryce is her 7-yr-old son, and Bark(ley) is their 2-yr-old lab.
So last nite Bryce and Cooper assumed their position on the couch in the basement and fell asleep. I fell asleep on the couch in the family room watchin a movie. At 3 am, Bryce and Coop get up walk by me and go upstairs. Bryce doesn’t see me so he calls LM on his cell then me on mine. Hears my cell ringing and he and Coops and Bark come join me on the couch. Slowly is Mallory’s new command when she is making me sing either Row, Row, Row your boat or Patty Cake. She’ll tell me “sssllllllloooooowwwwwllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy” so I have to sing it slowly.
She is also working on her hockey-speak. She makes a lot of words end in “ie” or “y” that aren’t supposed to (like how most hockey players have nicknames that end in “ie” or “y”: Chris Chelios = “Cheli”, Steve Yzerman = "Stevie”, etc). She says milky, juicy, and some other things that I can’t think of right now.

Mallory removing her bedtime socks in the morning and saying “My socks, Buhbuh. No eat it.”
Here is Cooper playing with his Jolly Ball. Apparently you are supposed to get a ball that is just big enough that the dog can’t get his jaw around it. Cooper has still succeeded in almost getting his teeth around it and has also learned how to play soccer with it and chase it around the yard.
You can also see Mallory’s new swing set in this video – she did a bunch of swinging while I raked. And you might be able to see that my piles of leaves aren’t so great…that’s because Mallory walked through all of them. Oh, …
