Mine!!

When we were at Disney in May, we rode the Finding Nemo ride. Seeing as how Mallory was only 18 months old at the time, we haven’t had to get into Disney stuff just yet. Out in front of the ride, they had those birds from the movie (I think they were seagulls?) saying “MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE”. It was pretty funny even though we’d never seen the movie. Mallory got a kick out of them, kneeling down to watch them under the fence.

Cooper’s Sleepover

Cooper Duper has a friend staying with us for a few days ~ his buddy Barkley, a 1.5 yr old yellow lab ~ while his family goes camping.
It took the dogs all of about 2.5 minutes to start TEARING through the house, while Mallory clung to me and squealed and laughed. There were a few rounds of dog wrestling and water drinking contests too. The last shenanigans I saw were tug-of-war with a stuffed animal.

Cooper’s Annual Dock Photo

Mallory & I were just reviewing the pictures I took at the lake, and when this one came up, she said “buh-buh! baby! ga-ga! (which is Mallorian for Daddy)”.
The weather never got crappy like it was supposed to today but it is way hot (GOD I am getting old) and we went to dip our toes in the lake. I have to follow-up on our big walk in the woods we had last night. Normally Cooper is PASSED OUT after those walks, which makes them worth it – it’s good exercise for both of us but the best part is that he is too tired to shadow me around the house and stuff.

Outside Baby

Keeping with her new obsession of wanting to be outside all the time – we immediately went outside after school yesterday. I figured Mallory would go up & down the slide and I could throw the ball for Cooper. But that lasted about 5 seconds, and then Mallory wanted to throw the ball for Cooper. And that didn’t work out so well since she couldn’t actually throw the ball using the ball launcher. We went to watch the Michigan hockey game at a friend’s house Friday night and Cooper got to see three of his best friends – CJ, Fenway & Lexie. They all got a Frosty Paw treat during intermission.

Wahoo! We got Mallory’s appointment with the ENT people moved up to tomorrow! I don’t know why I’m so excited about this; I guess I’m just hoping to get a break from the near constant antibiotics Mallory has been on since November. I’m also interested to see if it affects her mood at all since she is so happy most of the time – will fixing her ears let her be happy all of the time?
