Mallory’s class had a gingerbread night at school in December. It was so cute – we had to bring in graham crackers and frosting…and the kids constructed their houses and added all the decorations. It was fun seeing how all of the different ways the kids made their houses.
Sorry for the not so great pictures – these were all taken with my phone. I didn’t want to be *that* mom with the big camera – and then worry about getting frosting or candy all over it. So I just used my trusty iPhone instead.

Do you wish?
Mallory just asked me “Do you wish you only had one kid?”
Me: “WHAT?!?!?! Why would you ask me that?”
Mallory: “Because then you wouldn’t have so much noise!”
Me: “Which kid should I not have?”
Mallory: “Carson. Not me, because Carson makes the most noise.”
Something is missing…
All my wishing and praying that my sweet girl would stay little…it’s not working.
Remember the two loose teeth I’ve been writing about? Yeah. We’re down to a loose tooth, singular, because my sweet girl lost her first tooth on Saturday.
Mallory had a dentist appointment on Tuesday of last week, and while her two loose teeth could have used some good cleaning, the dentist said he wasn’t going to touch them because they were so loose (and Mallory was afraid the dentist was going to pull them out).
The kids & I went out to dinner on Friday night and when we …
Stinker and a snowball
We got our first-ish snow of the season this week. It was only an inch or so, but it stuck around for a few days.
After I got Mallory off the bus on Friday, we had a mini-snowball fight.
Then she parked herself on the front step with a huge snowball and waited for Rick to come home.

Conferences
Remember back in September I told you about how Rick asked if Mallory’s conferences were the week of Ohio State?
Well, that week is here, and we had conferences yesterday.
This is going to sound like a braggy post, and I’m not going to apologize for it. I don’t know if kindergarten teachers just aren’t supposed to give negative feedback, or if Mallory is just *that good*. I kept waiting to hear “she’s really cute/smart/whatever, but…”. But we never heard anything bad.
I guess Mallory had a rough go at the beginning of the school year. Apparently she wasn’t very interested in following …
Win #9
(I’m writing this post over a month late but again posting in the right spot. Oh well.)
The Nebraska Cornhuskers came to the Big House for the first time in November.
We beat them.
Go BLUE.
Carson got impatient and took off ahead of us for the gates.
What? I have to wait for you?
Love my Michigan girl.
Oh hey. What’s up?
What? TWO good pictures of Malsy & me??
Nice photobomb, Grandpa. And, Grandpa – since you’re going to ask me what “photobomb” means – click here: photobomb
Little Michigan Riding Hood got silly near the end of the game.
Photographer’s Daughter
You know your mom is a photographer when you answer “make pictures” when asked what you did to get ready for kindergarten.
Football Observations from a 5-yr old, #3
Illinois was on offense and when they broke the huddle, Mallory said “they are talking how to win”.
I asked her to repeat it (so I could write it down), and she asked “are you writing about it for facebook?”
and
“If he and he (two Illinois guys) tackled each other – it wouldn’t make sense because they are on the same team!”

Mallory: “OOOOOH YEAH WE’RE WINNING”
