This is what happens when Mallory doesn’t want her picture taken.

Dad’s Christmas Wish
MCB: Dad – tell Santa what you want for Christmas.
RB: I don’t want anything.
STB: Yes you do – you want a new watch.
MCB: What kind of watch do you want, Dad? A pink one?
RB: No, not a pink one.
MCB: Do you want a orange watch?
I miss you guys!
Man I miss posting here. Even my husband mentioned that I have been neglecting the blog lately. :-(
But it’s continued to be a busy couple of weeks with pictures to edit (some more than others…), Christmas cards to design (and re-design), and shopping to do.
I think we are ready for Christmas and I cannot WAIT to capture the look on Mallory’s face when she sees what Santa brought her. :-)

Carson is getting more mobile and brave every day. He pulls himself up on EVERY.THING. He finally started to crawl on his hands and knees (instead of the army …
Sisterly Love
Poor Carson.
All I need is a reindeer…
I
love
this
little
girl.
Mallory wanted to sleep up in our bed again tonight. She tells me that she will keep my spot warm, as though that will make it ok for her to not sleep in her own bed.
So she gathers up her bear and water and pig stuffed animal, and usually a book or two. Then she calls for me to help her get her stuff upstairs. We don’t leave a light on for her so I’m not sure how exactly she reads, but whenever we let her bring a book up with her, she usually falls asleep with …
Hey Santa Baby
We had plans set up for a visit to Santa on Saturday. Mallory’s friend’s grandpa has a Santa outfit and we were going to go see him – I figured we’d get our Santa picture then because I expected Mallory to not want anything to do with Santa. But because we told her Alli’s grandpa is just one of Santa’s helpers, I wanted to see how she did with a “real” Santa.
So when I picked the kids up from daycare today, I told Mallory we were going to see Santa. She screeched and started yelling to all of her friends …
Cookie-mania 2009
I posted last year about my childhood memory of decorating Christmas cookies at my aunt’s house before Christmas. And I’m so happy that my sister likes to host this event so that Mallory can have the same memory.
We decorated like 400 dozen cookies today. That might be a *slight* exageration, but it did feel like a ton of cookies. And I even made excuses to NOT sit and decorate a ton of cookies (have to feed the baby, oops, now I have to change the baby, oh and Emily – do you have any clothes for Carson since he …
Oh.
So, no more “I didn’t say ANYTHING” from Mallory when I ask “what did you say?”
Now it’s either “I was TALKING to MYSELF” or “I was TALKING to Ca-thun (Carson)”.
Oh.
Pink Lady
All Mallory wants for Christmas is a polka-dot camera.
This pink & white polka-dot camera, actually.
But she already has a digital camera (my old one) that works. So – what do we do? Does Santa get her this adorable little camera?
Rick did ask her if she wanted hockey skates for Christmas. She said “YES. Pink hockey skates. Because I like pink.”
We are on the search for who created this pink-obsessed monster.
A Busy Camera
Well – first off – happy belated thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a great weekend surrounded by family & friends.
And now I’ll go into detail for why I haven’t posted in a week.
I started to feel sick a week ago (the day after the OSU game) – and felt progressively worse as the week went along. If I hadn’t already burned up six sick days (of the 15 I get starting October 1), I totally would have stayed home at least one day last week. But it just felt like a horrible head cold and I feel guilty if I …
