11. My baby turned 11 in November.
Mallory is halfway through 6th grade. We just got her first semester grades. Most of them were pretty good – with the exception of one class.
A in gym
A in spanish
A in choir
A in media
A in math (which she claims is her least favorite subject)
A- in English

Grades aside – it’s been sort of a rough year for her – her class this year is doing a personalized learning program and it’s required a lot of her, and us. The kids are totally responsible for keeping up on their assignments and …

I. Am. A. Genius.
Yeah, so maybe you’ve heard me talk about how Mallory falls asleep in our bed every night. And that it doesn’t necessarily make me sad that she sleeps in there, but I’m starting to get nervous that as Carson is getting close to transitioning to a big boy bed, that he’s going to think he can fall sleep in our bed every night too. This has already started a little because he wants to read his bedtime book in our bed and then we move him to his bed.
And maybe you’ve heard me talk about how much Rick’s football schedule …
Hi Baby Arlo
So the cuteness of the week comes in the form of an almost-2-year-old, blond, curly haired, sweet little cutie named Mallory.
I was sitting in the chair at Rick’s work yesterday, and Mallory came over and lifted up my shirt, and pulled down the big over-the-belly panel of my maternity pants to reveal my growing tummy.

After that, she pulled up my elastic waist, and pulled down my shirt, only to repeat the process …
Out little pish
Another little posting drought. So sorry.
Here is a collection of short stories from the past few days.
Mallory can finally stand up (with her head above water) at the sandbar on our lake. We went out yesterday with my sister’s kids and she wanted her boat coat off so off it came and I was surprised to see that she could touch. She had SO.MUCH.FUN. jumping around with Shane & Lauren. We went back out later when Rick got home and she showed off her new “pish” (that’s fish in Mallorian) skills. She got braver and actually ended up underwater a …
Report Card
How happy was I to get this daily report from Mallory’s daycare Friday? See what it says in the lower right corner?
Apparently the daycare lady was holding the baby and Mallory held the bottle for the little boy while he ate. I am so glad she is over her hair-pulling and hitting stage. :-) The daycare ladies say Mallory LOVES to help with the babies in the infant room. She will go give the babies their blankies and pacifiers, and will push the swing or the bouncy-seat to help soothe the babies.

Mallory graduates from the infant room next …
