Flordida Day 1
This is all I’ve got from day one.
Yesterday morning, Rick & I had to go to the sales presentation thing for the vacation rental home place we’re staying – we were good and refrained from buying in. It is so interesting though – the show they put on for as many “no thank-yous” that they probably get? I can’t wrap my head around it.
Rick had his race today and tomorrow we’re headed to Disney. I’m exhausted from living out of suitcases and chasing children around an unchildproofed condo and pool. I wish I had more energy to write …

Here’s a roundup of our life lately:
Our house is rented. They want to be in by the end of the month. This means we are in crazy mad packing mode, all while trying to get ready to leave town for Rick’s triathlon race.
We’ll live with my dad for the time being but I would hate to overstay our welcome there…even though my dad is pretty excited about having RB around to help with the yard and other projects :-)

HOORAY! Thank you, Bluehost, for finally realizing the issue was on your end, so I can go back to easily publishing pictures again (last night’s post was done without my blog-publishing software – which is a pain).
Of course now I am in full photographer mode, as I am shooting my first wedding on Saturday (OMG I’m going to throw up) and re-doing some shots for the local volleyball club next week, so all of my free time will be spent looking at pictures. And Carson is getting tubes on Tuesday. And someone is coming to look at our house today …
Major problems
So I’m having major problems with my blog publishing software – and I’m mad because I have a bajillion words in my head and pictures on my computer to share with you but I’m obsessed with figure this out so my blogging will have to wait. At least until tomorrow.
But in case you didn’t know – Mallory only likes pink snow.

My little blog is four years old today. That means it has been four years and one day since found out we were pregnant with Mallory.
The blog has taken lots of turns over the past four years. Started out on blogger, moved to the free wordpress, then moved to my self-hosted wordpress location, then a couple of minor redirects while trying to stay semi-private, and now here we are, at our final resting spot of Smells Like Popsicles.

Aunt Marion
My great Aunt Marion’s birthday was yesterday; she would have been 105! She passed away almost seven years ago and my dad reminded me of a funny story about her (it’s near the end of this post).
My dad’s mother died when he was 12 or 13, and his mom’s oldest sister (Aunt Marion) basically raised him. My grandfather remarried when my dad was in high school but Aunt Marion always had a very special place in my dad’s heart. She lived on her own until she was almost 95 years old. Daycare Infection Roulette
Carson has ear infections in both ears – his second in less than a month. Me thinks we are on our way to tube-land for him soon. The pediatrician mentioned not waiting to get him tubes due to Mallory’s ear history. And Mallory might have some UTI or bladder infection thing going on. So both kids are on antibiotics…here’s hoping everyone starts to sleep better.
