That was FAST!

March 7, 2009

Holy cow this week went FAST! All of a sudden it’s Saturday morning and I’m 37+ weeks prego.
Here’s the recap.

You all know about my doctor’s appointment Monday – but the newer news related to that is:

my insurance won’t extend my physical therapy benefit for another month to allow me to see my physical therapist for my pregnancy-related back pain. I’m not sure I really understand how if pregnancy lasts MORE than 60 days, can they restrict the coverage to 60 calendar days of treatment. Additionally, I am allowed either 15 or 30 actual sessions during that 60 days, …

Four more weeks

February 27, 2009

I am 36 weeks pregnant today. That means I am nine months pregnant. But I still have four more weeks (one more month) left. So in case you hadn’t heard, pregnancy is TEN MONTHS, not nine.
It’s getting weird to be getting to close to the end. In some ways I feel like we are less prepared for this baby to come than we were with Mallory. Sure I have some clothes in the dresser and have a package of newborn diapers ready to go, but other than that – nothin’. I don’t have my bag packed, still no set …

Slacker!

January 10, 2009

Um, I was scolding a fellow friend & blogger for having gone so long between posts and I think that I have been absent longer than she has. Oops!! OK, I just checked, we are tied (last post for both of us was January 6).
But, I don’t know what to blog about this week. It’s been such a normal (i.e. BORING) week that while Mallory continues to send me into hysterics with her constant chatter, nothing has stood out as being blog-worthy, because if it was, you’d have read about it here. I don’t think I’ve taken any pictures this …

Funny Mallory-isms

December 4, 2008

Again, another quick post. I am disappointed that these aren’t more journaly but oh well. Here goes:
Coming home from school today, Mallory saw a house lit up with Christmas lights. From the back seat of the car she yelled, “LOOK – IT’S PRETTY!!!!”
Also on our way home from school – I asked Mallory what she thought Cooper was doing right then. Her response? “Eating my gocks (socks)”.
Cooper has a bad habit of running past us to get down the stairs and I’m afraid that one of these days he is going to knock Mallory over. He almost did …

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving

November 30, 2008

Yes, a boring post title and I swear that more than half of the blogs in my Google Reader have had that same post title (well, without the belated part) and I swore I was going to be way more creative than that but then here I am, using the boring post title. My whole family is still sleeping right now so I need to quick post while I have peace and quiet.
To make up for the boring post title, I will show you a video of a sweet little girl wishing you a happy holiday:

We had a …

What Rick does before away games

October 29, 2008

In case you wondered what Rick did at away games and why he has to go two days early, here is a glimpse. I don’t think he actually makes an appearance on this video but you can get an idea of the super-hard work that goes on.
Warning – there is some foul language very briefly at the end of the video.
The beginning is the carts being wheeled into the stadium and the exchange at the end is what happens when they are testing the headsets and phones between the pressbox and the sidelines.

PS – You’ll be happy to know that …

Wick

September 26, 2008

It must be an almost 2-yr old thing, because I just read on a friend’s blog that her almost 2-yr old son has started saying her first name instead of Mom.
Mallory is doing the same thing but with Rick. She’ll stand in the living room and yell “Wick! Wick!”
It makes me laugh.
It makes Rick grumpy.
Which makes me laugh more.

Boat & Bed

September 20, 2008

Well, we didn’t make it to the apple orchard, the pumpkin farm, the zoo or get any yardwork done or go on a hayride. But we had a fun family day none-the-less.
Rick was home before Mallory & me yesterday, which is not normal Friday football season behavior. The three of us were able to take Cooper for a walk in the woods. Rick has been bugging me about walking (after I complain about not being able to go for my daily walks) and I think after our “walk” yesterday he gets why I don’t get out daily like I used …
