I came out of retirement this fall to play hockey again. A friend asked me to play and I said I could play the home games only and they said yes so I signed up. Our team name is the “Mag-a-ritas” and Mallory asked me if I play on this team because I like margaritas. Um, sort of…maybe?
Both kids, Rick, and my mom and dad came to my game tonight. It was pretty fun having them all there and hearing the kids yell “GO MOM!!!” and “GO MAG-A-RITAS!!!”. I learned, however, that it is a good thing that …

Blue v Red v Black
The Red Wings played the Blackhawks this afternoon. I asked Mallory who she was rooting for – the Red Wings or the Blackhawks.
She told me she liked the “Blackclocks”.
And that Carson & Daddy liked the “Wed Wings”.
And then I asked her which team I liked.
Smart girl said “You like the Balooo-jackets”.

Pretty fired up that the Blue Jackets are facing the Wings in the first round of the playoffs, only because I’ll be able to watch every game. Not fired up that they have to actually play against the Wings; that’s a tough first …
That was FAST!
Holy cow this week went FAST! All of a sudden it’s Saturday morning and I’m 37+ weeks prego.
Here’s the recap.
You all know about my doctor’s appointment Monday – but the newer news related to that is:
my insurance won’t extend my physical therapy benefit for another month to allow me to see my physical therapist for my pregnancy-related back pain. I’m not sure I really understand how if pregnancy lasts MORE than 60 days, can they restrict the coverage to 60 calendar days of treatment. Additionally, I am allowed either 15 or 30 actual sessions during that 60 days, …
Happy (belated) Thanksgiving
Yes, a boring post title and I swear that more than half of the blogs in my Google Reader have had that same post title (well, without the belated part) and I swore I was going to be way more creative than that but then here I am, using the boring post title. My whole family is still sleeping right now so I need to quick post while I have peace and quiet.
To make up for the boring post title, I will show you a video of a sweet little girl wishing you a happy holiday:

Go Blue Jackets!
Rick & I had a fun date night last night while Mallory had a fun night at Auntie Em’s. My old friend Hitch is the coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets and got us tickets to the game.
We had a quick dinner in Greektown and sort of took our time getting to the Joe – I was looking forward to seeing Coach after the game and the time in between was just fluff. Plus I figured Coach wouldn’t know if we got there late anyway. I didn’t even bring my camera because usually the seats are up in the …
and she naps!
we are more than halfway through our bachelorette week and we are surviving. i am not going to bed as early as i should to accommodate my earlier alarm in the morning but other than that, it’s all good. we had a fun afternoon – playing and laughing. seeing her smile is one of my favorite things!
the big news of the day is that she is finally napping at daycare – yeah!! – and went down easily for a nap ~5.30p tonight – double yeah! we have been having some napping issues (which you can read about in this blog) …
day 4, bachelorettehood
we are on night 4 of bachelorettehood. things are going well so far, it’s pretty easy since mallory is on a decent schedule. friday night my dad came out for dinner; saturday we took coops for a long walk in the woods with his friends CJ & fenway, and then mallory headed out for her first sleepover (i had a late hockey game saturday night and early hockey practice sunday morning, so rather than disturbing my sister’s household late-late saturday and early sunday, we decided i would just leave mallory there all night).
i got to emily’s with enough time to …
Start Spreading the News
we started breaking the news last night. we were going to try to wait for the end of the first trimester (yeah, like i thought i could wait that long), but since i was going to have to quit hockey, the frozen a$$ets would know what was going on and we figured our families should know first. i called my mom tuesday night…she was so excited. i called my sister & dad wednesday morning. when i told emily that cooper was getting a little brother or sister, she said “that’s great. please don’t call before 7am next time”. um, she …
