FINALLY! The rest of the writeup from our trip to Florida in May!
One of the good things about waiting three months to write about a vacation is that I’ve forgotten stuff so I now I don’t have to write so much!
Anywho…
Monday morning was breakfast with the princesses at Epcot. Mallory was giddy as the princesses started coming through the room but was beyond shy when they came to our table. Carson wasn’t shy – he kept shoving food in his mouth the whole time. It was awesome though – because all of the princesses spoke just as you would think …

Flordida – 2010, Part I { the real recap }
Better late than never, eh?
So – we went to Orlando in May 2010 so Rick could do a triathlon. Seems that most of our vacation are “working” vacations, we never go anywhere just for the heck of it. My dad & Shaners came with us, and Rick’s entire family met up with us down there. Here weego.
Friday – travel day to Flordida. Mallory was concerned that the captain of the airplane wouldn’t know where we were going and told me she’d tell him. She was obsessed with finding our gate (love that she knows her numbers so I could tell …
“Flordida” 2010, Part II
And…here’s the rest of our trip!
So, Monday the 17th we had scheduled breakfast with the princesses at Epcot. When we woke that morning, I told Mallory “Happy PRINCESS DAY!”. With three-year-old attitude and sass, she looked at me and said “princesses don’t say that.”.
Oh.
Anyway…I’d brought Mallory’s Little Mermaid costume, thinking she would want to wear that to the breakfast, but my spinny-dress-loving girl kept with tradition and wore…a spinny dress.
I need to insert here that my dad was wearing a walking boot on his leg because of some pretty bad plantar fasciitis, so we’d rented him a little scooter to …
I’m still here
Hi.
Yes, it’s been a while.
But I’m still here.
It’s been a crazy week.
First – the Super Bowl – asked Mallory if she wanted to watch football and she told us “NO – I only like the tailgates”.
Then Rick & I headed to New York City for my Christmas present getaway. The trip was fun and not so fun.
Tuesday was fun – walked around the city, went to a taping of the David Letterman Show, had dinner, saw Chicago on Broadway, and stayed up way too late, even though we were kidless.
Wednesday was not so fun. NYC was under a winter weather …
Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny (hand-me-down) Burberry Bikini
I think this bathing suit is hysterical. It was a hand-me-down (from Kaylie’s Kollection) and it’s Burberry. As in the place you buy really expensive scarves.
Really? A 3T Burberry bikini? But Mallory thought it was pretty cool to have “boob things” like her mom.
Ah, to be 3 again and not care how you looked in a bikini.
Do you think Mallory loved the pool in California? These shots are a selection of a bunch that I took as she ran back & forth across the pool, telling me to take her picture.
I am still slowly getting caught up. :-)
Santa Monica
We spent our last day in California at the beach. (We were in Indian Wells for a week for a work gig for me – I think I haven’t really told this story in order. oh well).
Continuing on – our last day in California we drove to the beach. Mallory was NOT impressed with the big waves and would freak out when I started to get my feet near the water. I LOVE these pictures that Rick took of the kids and me checking out the surf. The water was freezing but I felt I just had to dip my …
Belated Pictures
These pictures are soooooo last year.
In my busy-ness with my business (get it? my photography “business” that I’ve been so “busy” with? I’m so clever), I never posted these shots from the O-State tailgate.
Firstly – a bevy of self-portraitsCheri & me
my dad & me
Rick’s buddy Kevin and me
Carson pulling Bryce’s hair
Shocking…Mallory is eating!
With Rick’s buddies again – Mike & Kevin.
With my children at the game…who’d-a-thunk we’d be coat-less at the OSU game (but I needed to scramble and get Carson a snowsuit for the Delaware State game back in October??)
…
Diary of a Football Saturday
My football Saturdays have changed a little since just four years ago. I used to be the first one to the tailgate, with a huge stash of jello shots and a case of beer. I would have to set my alarm to make sure I was up on time.
Not anymore. I have two very sweet alarm clocks (they are cute even though they don’t come with snooze buttons) who wake me up plenty early on my days off. But once we’re up, it’s go-go-go to get out the door. We try to get to the tailgate by 10a for …
Weekend Wrap-up
I am a slacker blogger. I have been lollygagging my way around posting this week – I don’t know quite why, since the mounds of laundry that I have to fold & put away and the messes that exist in my house are no indication that I’ve been spending my time doing anything particularly worthwhile. But I have been enjoying my children and trying to figure out how in the world other moms handle after school/work time if they work until 5p. I am home with my babies by 4.15p every afternoon and I still never sit down until they …
Night games
This is how we watch night games in my house.
Everyone is asleep. It’s not even halftime yet.
