Here is the evidence that I don’t have to worry about my kid being afraid of the water. But I think we have to be afraid of her not being afraid of the water.

We had Mallory’s follow-up flu shot today and she also had blood drawn to check for lead, because I didn’t know how old our house and if there was any lead paint. The flu shot was quick and painful, and the blood draw was long and painful. Poor kid was in a mom straightjacket, while the med tech tried to hold her arm still, while the lab lady poked for a vien and drew her blood. OK. I blogged about my 4-month backlog of posting video, and here I am, posting new video before I get caught up. Oh well.

Ok, this is really late in getting posted, but I finally just downloaded a ton of video from the camera…you will be inundated with video the next couple of days :-)
The video below is of Mallory & her friend Alli in the wagon on Halloween. It’s a little dark but you can still hear the girls “talking”. Mallory is the pumpkin and Alli is the panda…it’s the talking pumpkin in the beginning who says “HI!!!”. I must find a way to make that my ringtone on my phone. It melts my heart…

And here are some pictures of Mallory getting an “underdog” push from her big cousin Lauren. Just an aside…I am praying that Mallory’s little curls will grow out to be gorgeous ringlets like Lauren’s :-) That girl has got some beautiful hair.

Mallory’s new trick…we still have to teach her to take a big drink after clinking our cups.

She is walking. Well, walking between her mom & dad who are crazily cheering her along, but she is taking steps. This is so exciting yet so frightening!! I don’t know if it actually qualifies as her “walking” but I’m putting September 9 down in the baby book :-)

Crazy busy week around here. Wow. We haven’t had anything on the calendar but it seems like I haven’t had a chance to really sit down. Until now. Rick is off to hockey, Mallory is passed out in her crib, and I have 45 minutes til I should be in bed. There are a million things I should be doing…Pampered Chef stuff, putting laundry away, putting dishes away, scrapbooking (well, I shouldn’t be doing that but I want to be doing that), and here I sit, in front of the biggest time waster in our house…the computer. we got a new camcorder earlier this year and are slowly figuring out how to have so much fun with it. we are able to download to our computer and make movies. here is a little one we did this week, showing mallory “talking”. enjoy!
