It is so helpful to always have a spare camera to record the impromptu concerts that may take place in your backseat.

Carson’s Turn
If you’ve been to a Michigan football game early enough, you may see the team warming up to Lupe’s “The Show Goes On”.
But now, to keep you entertained in the off-season, here is a sampling Carson’s interpretation of Denard’s pre-game dance to Lupe’s “The Show Goes On”.
And then, because it’s fun – here is Carson’s favorite part:
So Call Me Maybe
Here’s Mallory’s version of the Harvard baseball team’s version of Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe”.
I suppose Carson is playing the part of the guy asleep in the back row.
It’s hard to see behind the sunglasses and lipgloss application, but if you look closely you’ll be able to see Mallory (try to) wink at the right time near the end.
Like a Polaroid Picture
When I have to shake the kids inhalers for them to do them, I sometimes sing “shake it like a polaroid picture”, from that Outkast song “Hey Ya” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWgvGjAhvIw – about the 4 minute mark)
The other morning I was shaking his apple/prune juice (poor kid hadn’t pooped in four days!) and he – without prompting – said this (obviously this is a re-enactment, but I promise you he said it on his own the first time):
Mallory’s New Song
Mallory came home from school yesterday and asked if I wanted to hear the song that her friend Emma taught to her and Laci.
We literally had TEARS rolling out of our eyes.
(And whenever Mallory finishes singing this to us, Carson starts with a real version of Jingle Bells…)
Denarding
Carson sort of likes football.
And he likes to run around the house and then fall down randomly, and then say he scored a touchdown.
Carson also likes Denard.
At my dad’s on Christmas day, we were watching the Michigan-Nebraska game and my dad told Carson do to what Denard does after he scores a touchdown.
I finally got a good video of it.
Line ‘em up.
So I’ve written about how Carson likes to line up his football guys and it’s hysterical. Here are some not very good pictures (see how the green is different in each picture [not to mention the dog hair on the football field]? I couldn’t show these to a client…) plus some video of Carson lining up his guys.
Please forgive the messy house. I had it semi-organized today and then we spent a whole day at home watching football. I can’t control them.
Ms Mallory
Mallory has been a little bit in love with playing teacher for a while. We got her a teacher set last Christmas with little report cards and hall passes. She makes Carson sit in a chair in the middle of the living room and instructs him to be “the kid” and then says “OK kid. What do you want, kid.”. So fun.
Well, if you add in her new math workbooks, she has now learned to take being a teacher a step further.
The other day she got a piece of paper out and started writing out some math and told me …
Homecoming Week
Homecoming was last week in our town – and I think it is ADORABLE how they talked it up all over the place, even in Mallory’s elementary school. She told us early in the week that she was going to go to a PARADE – even before I realized it was Homecoming and stuff.
So on Thursday when I met her at the bus stop she was all “AND I THAW (saw) THE BAND AND TWO FOOTBALL PLAYERS CAME TO MY CLASS AND SHOWED US THEIR GEAR”.
And I further learned that she didn’t ask a teacher to help her open part …
Weally Fast
Here is the video of Carson’s latest parlor trick. We had to get it on video before it wasn’t cute anymore. (I also had to enlist the help of our neighbors to act as his audience. If it’s just me asking him what Denard does, he will take off for a (weally fast) lap, but that isn’t quite as cute as watching him do the arm pump motion.)
After Saturday’s game, I asked Carson if he wanted to go say hi to Brady Hoke. He said yes so off we went. He kept telling me “I on’t ee im” (I don’t …
