Zoltan!
For those who don’t know why this is totally adorable – Zoltan Mesko is the punter for Michigan and when he punts, everyone makes a Z with their hands.

A reading of “Brown Bear Brown Bear”, by Mallory
Here is Mallory reading one of her favorite books:
Some of her other favorite books are:
All of the Fancy Nancy books
Ella Sarah (she can read {recite} most of this one too)
She is really getting into the interactive books where you have to find stuff behind flaps and doors. Not like how she used to like them (just trying to find stuff), but now she reads them to her dolls and her brother.
Playdate with Alli
We got to have Alli come play a few weeks ago while her mom ran a race. The girls had fun for most of the day but it really is funny how they get on each other’s nerves.
They play so well together some the time…(sorry about the crying baby in the background)
and then they don’t get along…
I spent most of the day saying “well, then don’t stand next to her” or “then go find another toy” or “MALLORY – YOU HAVE TO SHARE”.
Feed the starving children
Most of my lovely readers probably don’t want to watch this video – it’s 2+ minutes of Carson slurping rice cereal. But it’s pretty funny to see him get grumpy when I am slow getting him food. Plus you can see him help rake in the spoon.
Carson telling us about his day
I guess watching this, it’s easy to see where Mallory got “…and what else?”
Conversations with my kids
These first video is how dinnertimes go in our house. The second is Carson giggling!
Take me out to the ball game
See dis M?
I realized the other day that I hadn’t gotten much video of Mallory lately and I had to rectify that. I don’t want to forget her little lisp and her raspy voice.
Anywho, here are Mallory & Carson pre-bath time last night. In the very beginning you hear Mallory say “…be quiet a second” – I didn’t start recording fast enough to get her saying “HEY WICK” before the “be quiet a second”. Rick was in the kitchen doing the dishes and I wanted him to be quiet while I videoed (is that really a word?) the kids…so I hollered out …
Crybaby
I was chatting with a friend today about Carson and his gassiness and she was telling me about her son cried a lot when he was an infant because he had a lot of gas. I replied that Carson seems to cry a lot too – but she didn’t believe me since I hadn’t blogged about it. So Kim – here you go (I advise you to turn down your speakers):
All during this crying spell, he was kicking his legs trying to work out the gas. Poor kid!
I’ll add that Kim said she cut chocolate out of her diet for …
Mallory & Carson ~ May 12, 2009
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again – for as ornery and grumpy as Mallory is with us for bringing home a baby, she is in love with her baby brother.
After her failed attempt to pick Carson up in the video above, Mallory wanted to hold him on her lap:
And here is a close-up of her making she she is holding his head:
And here she is burping him. What you can’t see is the burp rag across her chest/under her arms…
