Mallory started to sing “Hail to the Victors” spontaneously this afternoon. We’ve listened to the band CD in the car but it’s not like we do that every day or anything (I’m being serious – we hardly listen to it). I don’t know if she got it in her head from the football & softball games yesterday or what, but OMG is it FUNNY.

Well, hellooooooooooo
I think I told you about how Mallory has been imitating my doctor’s greeting from last week. I got her on video this morning (yes, she is sitting on the toilet).
Mallory’s New Song
Ok, so Mallory gets a big kick out of sleeping in my spot (this started when I let her fall asleep in our bed when Rick was out of town a few weeks ago). Anyway, she made up a little ditty about this – however in this version she has substituted “mommy’s spot” with “my spot”.
A present for Baby Arlo
This conversation is a redo of one we had just moments earlier (I really need to just run a video camera all of the time). So although it seems as though I am prompting Mallory to answer, she actually said all of these things by herself the first time.
Here is the transcript of Mallory’s contribution to this conversation:
“Baby Arlo have my jammies and go night-nights in Baby Arlo’s crib”
“And I have present for you, your bear (it’s actually the puppy blankie I showed you a few weeks back) and my bear. OK? Ok.”
“You come out and have your present, OK? …
Let’s Go Blue – HOORAY!
Here is the promised video (notice the fancy eyeblack she is sporting):

Mallory doing somersaults:
And here she is saying her version of “cartoons” and “no way jose”:
You bumming me, Coopah
Uh oh. I *really* need to watch what I say around a VERY smart two-year-old who picks up EVERYTHING that you say.
Here is the video:
In case you can’t understand her, she told Cooper: “You go in your cage, Coopah. You bumming me.”
I’m assuming that “bumming” = “bugging” because when the dog is in super-clingy mode and following me everywhere and is constantly underfoot, I tell Cooper to go to his cage because he is bugging me. Good thing I don’t tell Cooper to go to his cage because he is “bugging the ever-loving-$hit out of me” anymore. That would be …
Slacker!
Um, I was scolding a fellow friend & blogger for having gone so long between posts and I think that I have been absent longer than she has. Oops!! OK, I just checked, we are tied (last post for both of us was January 6).
But, I don’t know what to blog about this week. It’s been such a normal (i.e. BORING) week that while Mallory continues to send me into hysterics with her constant chatter, nothing has stood out as being blog-worthy, because if it was, you’d have read about it here. I don’t think I’ve taken any pictures this …
Potty fweats
We’ve been talking about potty training Mallory for a while and they try once a day at school to get her to go on the potty. Usually her little report cards just have a “T” on them at her diaper change times, meaning she tried to go potty.
But – TODAY’S report card said “P!!” next to her post-nap diaper change. OMG she went potty today! I asked the teachers about it and they said she tinkled a little bit. Yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!!
I asked Mallory about it and she said the pushed the pee out (some song they sing) and …
Waterpark Fun
We went to the waterpark with Alli and her folks on Sunday. The girls were *so* excited to see each other after the long break because of Christmas & New Years.
The waterpark is pretty cool – they had a great kiddie pool with a slide (see video below) and then a lazy river with a little side pool with a bench all the way around that the girls put a lot of miles on. And they serve beer! Not that I had any but I think Rick was wishing he didn’t have a hockey game later that night.
