We didn’t know it when we took Cooper’s picture on our dock that first spring that we would turn it into an annual thing. The first picture is from 2005 and he is only 11 weeks old – and had been home with us just 3 days.
Night-night

I love when Mallory chases Rick into her room for her bedtime story, “GO GAGA!” She knows the routine of water and pacifier and book and blankie and bear and she knows to come give me a hug & a kiss before they start reading their book.
Tonight she got to read one of her favorite books – it plays a little song when you open it and the batteries were slowing dying and I finally got around to replacing them. How happy was she to have her oldie-but-goody back in the rotation?

Here are some pictures of Mallory …
Bye!
Mallory got a “BYE” (that would be “bike” in Mallorian). She sees Rick ride a bike and gets excited so we got her a tricycle yesterday. It is a little big for her – I was very torn between the smaller one and the bigger one and I went with the bigger one which may have been a mistake. I don’t know if she’ll grow enough this summer to be able to really use it so we may go back and get the smaller one too. I also got her a bike helmet, which she insisted on wearing out of …
Just some stories – June 19-style
I have been bad about taking pictures but good about collecting stories. Here goes:
I’ll ask Mallory “who am I?” and she’ll yell “mama!”. So I ask her who she is – she points to her nose and says “BABY!”. We can point to Rick or Cooper and get her to yell Gaga or buhbuh. It isn’t such a big deal that she knows who we all are – but it’s beyond adorable that she points to herself on the nose and says baby.
Yesterday when Alli showed up at school, Mallory was in the midst of her breakfast of yogurt and …
The Booger Eater
I’ve been feeling a little under the weather the past couple of days – today is probably the worst – it’s just a little cold and I am exhausted. Mallory had something last week – a runny nose and a bad cough.
One of my co-workers just came in and asked if I was sick and if I caught something from the “little booger-eater”.
LMAO.
This morning's conversation
This was my conversation with Mallory this morning as we walked out the door of the house:
MCB: “MAMA!” (while pointing to my car)
STB: “yes, that is mama’s car”
MCB: “BABY!”
STB: “yes, baby (Mallory) is coming with me in my car to go to school”
MCB: “YAYA (Alli)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Mallory officially graduated from the infant room to the toddler room at daycare. She had spent some in the toddler room before her graduation so it wasn’t totally new but Monday morning she was a little out of sorts when we hung her bag up on her new hook and put her food in …
Okay
Okay, so I love this new website thing I have going on. I know full on that I am a dork, geek, nerd, whatever you want to call me. Bring it.

Rick is busy with football camps so I am on Mallory duty all day everyday this week. We had killer shrimp for dinner – YUM! Well, I had killer shrimp and Mallory had a boca burger and two bites of my shrimp. Luckily she only wanted two bites – the way that kid eats I could have been left with the dipping sauce for dinner. I can only …
Boat Trip – Yaya style
First – to give everyone an update on the “media guide photo shoot” from yesterday; I guess only the coaches’ family pictures will be in the media guide. Everyone else will just have their family picture up in Schembechler Hall. So I got myself all worked up about this for no reason. Oh, and Mallory didn’t smile in ANY of the pictures – she had the deer in the headlights look in every single picture. That was way cool.
BUT – the highlight of the photo shoot trip to Gaga’s work is that Mallory gave both Rich Rodriguez and his wife …
Bite Mama
Here is a picture of the welts Mallory gets from bugs or spiders or something. I don’t notice them on her before I take her to school, so I’m guessing she is getting at least some of them at school. Great. Poor kid. They don’t bother her much but sometimes she itches them and then when they are healing we put neosporin on them to help them heal. Any advice from other moms out there would be appreciated.

UPDATED AGAIN TO ADD: Rick has completely vetoed option #1/A, wouldn’t even let me get it out of her closet this morning to bring as a possible based on my very scientific vote I am running via this blog.
UPDATED TO ADD: Said media guide picture will be in black and white…
Which outfit should Mallory wear tomorrow for a family picture that might go into a media guide for my husband’s work? We were instructed to wear “country club casual. I will probably wear a khaki skirt and a button down shirt, Rick will probably wear khaki shorts and a blue …
