The things you find on your camera three months later.
This is from the Michigan-Nebraska game in November.
I mean, honestly.
And then there was this one – my dainty children eating cupcakes with a fork. They always have great manners like this.
Carson the sportscaster
Yep, more proof that Carson may have watched the Michigan-Indiana game a few times.
Bedtime Buddies
Mallory hasn’t asked to sleep in our bed for weeks…ever since Cooper started wanting to sleep on her bed. The dog isn’t usually allowed on the furniture so this is a big huge treat for Cooper.
2014
So…I think I’ve blogged like 5 times in 2013. That’s it. Five times. It might really be a little more than that but it still isn’t very much.
So…here’s where we are now.
MALLORY Mallory is seven. She turned seven in November. She was a little upset she didn’t have the day off of school for her birthday like she did when she turned six. She also didn’t want a birthday party for her 7th birthday, she wants to wait until her 7-1/2 birthday to have a party. But I did end …
Grammar Girl
Mallory said “me and Carson” and I told her “Carson and I”.
She said “mom, remember that shirt you have that says ‘I am silently correcting your grammar’? You should do that now!”
Lucky Sister
Mallory: “I’m really lucky. Do you want to know why? Because I have a really smart brother who knows all about football.”
My football kid
Carson has watched the Michigan-Indiana football game from mid-October about three times a week (at least). We have the Big Ten Network two-hour condensed version and I think he loves all the scoring excitement. He wants to watch this game more than he wants to watch the Notre Dame game from early September. It is funny and disturbing at the same time.
It’s getting more disturbing because now when he watches the game, he tells us what the next play is going to be. “Mom, mom! This is the hard hit by Taylor!” and right then Ramon Taylor lays out the …
Cool
Carson after Thanksgiving dinner today. When he got dressed this morning I told him he looked sooooo handsome.
He told me “Noooo!!!!! I’m not handsome! I’m cool!!!”
“I” week
Over dinner tonight I asked Carson how “I” week sharing went. He chose “interception” for his sharing. Which meant he took a football and a piece of paper with the word interception on it.
He told me he gave these clues:
*you throw it to the other team
* it’s not good for the quarterback
Surprisingly none of the kids in his class guessed his sharing item.
Oh, and Michigan fans – never fear. Carson said we will win tomorrow because we are the home team.
Halloween 2013
My two pumpkins.
Mallory swapped out her ($25) Hello Kitty costume at the last second to be a cowgirl. She “pinky-promises” to be Hello Kitty next year if the costume still fits.
Here she is at her school parade during the day on Halloween:
